TERM 2 ACTIVITIES UPDATE
Welcome to Term 2 which extends for eleven weeks. Students will participate in a special ANZAC Ceremony on Tuesday 24th April. This solemn occasion will be conducted in the new Sports Centre commencing at 10.20am. Parents and other community members are very welcome to attend. A beautiful school wreath will be laid by the School Captains along with individual flowers from pupils. Our Annual OPEN DAY is scheduled for Wednesday 2nd May 2012 from 9.00-11.00am and 11.30 – 1.30pm. Senior students will welcome visitors at the Main Office and School Tours will be conducted by either Principal, Assistant Principal or Student Leaders. Normal daily programs will operate (classroom programs and specialist programs in Library, Art, Lote [Italian], Music and Physical Education). Visitors will gain a true insight into the curriculum activities on offer for all children.
Grade 6 students will participate in a five day School CAMP (7th May – 11th May) at Cave Hill Creek, 15 minutes out from Beaufort in a picturesque country setting. Students will be fully engaged in challenging activities involving Archery, Canoe, Abseiling, Bush Art, Mountain Bikes, Low Rope Initiatives, Map reading / Orienteering, Bush Cooking, Bouldering Wall and Photo Trail.
